Details: 1/3 bites on this day.Another old timer from the Back-Pit. These Carp truly are few and far between nowadays; proper old English “crackers”.I completely changed location this session as the fish were not present where I had previous success. I found them in a corner and fished identically, as before - light scattering of fishmeal boilies and pastel coloured pop-ups fished on helicopter rigs.I had beefed up my tackle as was fishing near to some snags, upgrading the strength of everything including swapping spools over for heavier main line. A helicopter set up is always advised when snag fishing as should the line part, the fish can super-easily free itself of the trailing line and excess terminal tackle. Fishing with a rig or lead tied directly to the leader or mainline would be a massive no-no as this could tether a carp in the unfortunate event of being cut off.
