Details: 2/8 bites on this day & the latter half of the brace that formed a double-take… CARNAGE! No matter how experienced of an angler you are, nothing will ever prepare you for a dual bite, ha ha.Caught on a helicopter rig in extremely shallow water, over low-lying weed. A small pastel fishmeal pop-up fished very close to the lake bed (NOT popped up off of the bottom by several inches - just so the hook is up-on-end/upright thus perfectly poised to penetrate the bottom lip in the event that the hookbait is engulfed) came up trumps. A small quantity of free offerings, namely tiny fishmeal boilies, were introduced after the double-take. The carp were evidently up for some food, so that is exactly what they got. My theory being that by introducing more bait I should be able to prolong the feeding spell and capitalise on this super rare opportunity where the Carp were seemingly easy to catch (not the norm!)
