Details: Attempting to pick up where I had left off after my crazy, lucky session 2 days prior, I returned to find that the fish were no longer present in the same quantity nor were they willing to feed with the same lack-of-caution.With this in mind I flicked a single hook bait out to a different area where I had seen a carp jump just minutes before. I adjusted the bead on the helicopter rig (sliding it up about 3ft above the lead) and installed some PVA foam over the hook, in order to ensure that I would be presented on the lakebed… I was unaware of what substrate I was casting into. 45 minutes later and the rod was away.This incredible Carp fell victim to a 12mm pastel pink pop-up - no free offerings whatsoever.
