Members fishing Seabrooks Reservoir will be aware that the water level has been lowered following extraction to irrigate fields on the farm growing potatoes since July. This has occurred for the past six years. We monitored the water depth, temperature and oxygen levels during the summer. The lower level does not adversely affect the fishing , however, the right hand bank up to the first island is not fishable owing to its height. The water extraction has now stopped and we expect as in previous years when there is sufficient water in the river Ter that water will be pumped in or if is a wet winter the farmer will wait for the reservoir to fill naturally.
