Essential tree work by our contractor to provide wind tunnels to Layer Marney 3 means the following closures on Thursday and Friday, 5th and 6th October:-
• Layer Marney 3
• The bottom end of Layer Marney 2
• The bottom carpark between 2 and 3
Apologies for the noise and disturbance but this work is essential to increase the wind flow and dissolved oxygen levels.
Whilst on the subject of Layer Marney, we have found unauthorised crayfish traps on Marney 3. These traps do not meet the standard authorised by the Environment Agency and can result on mammals such as voles and otters being drowned. These traps will be removed and destroyed.
